Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Innovation Alliance

Overview

The Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine and the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company have established a five-year, $10-million Innovation Alliance to foster scientific collaborations and advance each organization’s research missions. Through this partnership, basic and translational stem-cell research projects entailing novel and integrative concepts and methods will be identified and supported.

During the first application cycle (September 2015 – April 2016) Takeda and Consortium investigators completed a process for soliciting, prioritizing and co-developing research proposals resulting in the recent funding of multiple projects.

The next application cycle will commence September 2017. Town Hall Meetings to explain the Innovation Alliance and the associated funding process will be held at the Sanford Consortium on Monday August 28, 2017 at noon and on Monday September 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
